Watchers

Okay first up thanks for all the feedback and votes people gave concerning the Prints. I think its clear this isn't something that I need to make an effort for as a standard in all future projects but I WILL make an effort to prepare print friendly version of renders where possible on request. Though I will stress that you should note me personally rather than rely on the DA request print system as the latter method is a bit bullshitty.

So with that out of the way you may have noticed a lack of anything from me lately. Sigh...

Skyrim.

Not stock vanilla Skyrim, a game that I feel is lacking to say the least, but a heavily modded skyrim. A Skyrim where characters grow hungry and need sleep, a Skyrim where- look it was just a million times better than normal. I'm not here to review the damed thing, it was addictive and sucked out my life for a while, lets just leave it at that! ¬_¬

Anyway, got my character to near godhood on hard mode and lost interest so its back to artsy things. It's hard to feel invested in a game when you're one hitting dragons. Though those godamned deathlords can go down in one hit anyday. Hate those jerks. ¬_¬

I might post a screenshot of my character, eh maybe if folks actually WANT to see, but now I can get back to the things in life that really matter: girls in latex and corsets! ^.^

Commission Rules

Once the current commission load is cleared I'm putting in some slot rules. No more 10 character requests at once dammit! >_<

One comission per customer. You can make multiple requests per commission but once that has been set you must wait for me to complete those before making a new commission.

Must adhere to DA rules.

Avoid real life likeness'. I make exceptions but they are rare so don't get your hopes too high.

As a rule of thumb I won't build characters that :iconpetercotton: has already done. There are exceptions but they are VERY rare.

Critters and males are a possibility for character options but may require some negotiation.

Fetish and hardcore are possible options but the more 'out there' the subject matter the less likely I am to agree to it.

I only use Aiko 3 for my ladies and, for the moment, Hiro 3 for men, I don't use anyone else. For critters (aliens, animals, etc) I'm more flexible depending on whats available.

I have to like the idea.

Commission Prices

AFTER I've cleared my current commission list these WILL change

New characters, including costume and showcase render $15 - $30

New outfits for characters, including showcase render $10 - $20

Pre-built character on simple white background $7.50 + $5 per char

Pre-built character with base on optional background or simple scene $10.00 + $5 per char

Pre-built character with base on optional background or simple scene and interactive prop/s $12.50 + $5 per char

Pre-built character + complex scene $15.00-£22.50 + $5 per char

Commission Small Print

All renders will be made in high resolution where possible, say 3000 vertical pixels where possible with a half size render made for my gallery. You will also get high res posed raw test renders for stuff like new characters and outfits in order to get feedback. ^_^

None of these prices are absolutely set in stone. There are some situations that they simple don't cover fully and thus the value of negotiation becomes prevelant. I discount for bulk, so a new character request with multiple costume options for example gets some discount. However multiple NEW characters are NOT discounted with each new character.

Prices for some some things have a range rather than being a set value as these things can either be very easy to do or a veritable pain in the bum.

Pre-built characters refers only to those ones I have already made. If you yourself are a Poser or Daz user and have a character then I will REMAKE it in my own style. I won't use your personal settings on the figure.

I realise that characters and costumes cost quite a bit but in all seriousness these can take a good day of work. You can see from my showcase gallery than some of the costumes can be particularly elaborate.

For characters I need as much info as possible, including intimate physical details where possible. I'm a completionist and I like my figures to be complete! This also saves time when bouncing test images back and foward.

A similar point is tre in scenes. Some scenes are easy to construct, others are hell on earth with lighting, posing-scene interaction and so on and so forth. I will fairly price all aspects according to how much time and effort is involved.

I will always quote an estimate at the start of the comission. I percieve that sometimes it may result that much more work is involved than I initially suspected in which case I will immediately inform. Likewise something may turn out much easier than expected and the price will drop. Payment will not be expected until the goods are delivered.

I don't suppose I could consult with you on a reference for an idea I'm working on?

I'm not really that good with Poser3D or the like, so I figured I'd ask.

Have you ever heard of the concept of Latex Wings or Latex Hair?

Well yes, though admittadly I've never applied these concepts.

True, the idea of latex hair dosen't appeal all that much but the wings I probably should have tried before now.

I guess I'll just content myself with laminating centaur ladys! ^_^

I guess what I'm asking is, have you ever seen those materials exist? And where I might get it? Thing is, I need a reference for a drawing (I suck at lights and darks on latex from specific light sources).

Well generally I'd just use a typical latex shader, plug in a transmap when appropriate and apply a bump map to give it some surface detail. Otherwise it would be an ordinary latex shader.

Hey Idelacio, now that Genesis supports Gen3 content, have you entertained the idea of converting one of your A3 characters into a Genesis character?

Nah. Genesis is DS only which is an issue right off the bat, DA and Posers incompatibilities exist where they are least convenient for me sadly.

The lower poly mesh, revamped UV maps, limited morph packages also contribute to me not wanting to shift over to Genesis.

Finally I've seen the auto conversions for the cloth fits... and I'm not convinced it's any good. Thats not a specific fault of DAZ' per se, it's just a fact that auto conversion software cannot match doing it by hand. This crit would hold to all outfit conversion programs including Wardrobe Wizard et al.

Ah well, i've pretty much converted solely to Genesis, even more so now Hitomi (from the creator of Aiko) has been released.

Speaking of which, pretty soon i'll be selling my first ever Daz Studio product...ON THE DAZ 3D STORE! :D So happy.
